Our Fees

Session Fees

Our regular fees for each session depend on the type of clinician that you see as well as the location where you see the clinician. The fees are the same for individual sessions, conjoint (or couples) sessions, and family sessions. We do not charge higher fees for sessions involving multiple people, even though we know that some other practices do this. There are different fees for other types of sessions such as group sessions, crisis sessions or initial sessions (that are 50% higher than normal sessions).

Type of Clinician

Regular Session

Clinical Director
$225
Licensed Clinician
$200
Resident
$175
Intern
$140

Among the reduced fee programs offered at Seeking Shalom are the following:

  • Clients who are residents of the Bronx or Northern Manhattan who pay the full session fee at the time of service will be eligible for a $50 discount for the fee for that session.
  • Clients who are paying the full session fee who are seeing the clinical director in Indiana will be eligible for a $25 discount per session.
  •  Participants in the Journey to Peace program who continue to be qualified for this program are eligible for severely reduced fees for their sessions.
  • There are other reduced fee programs detailed in our Client Information and Office Policies document.

All reduced fees will be reviewed periodically in order to determine that clients are still eligible and that the program is continuing.

Other Fees

During the course of your treatment, there are other fees that you may have to pay. These are fully described in the Office Practices policy. Here is a highlight of the fees you might experience (although most of these you will have some control about):

  • late cancel or no show fee: $35 or $75 (depending on how late you are)
  • copying fees: vary, applies if you want us to prepare and/or mail copies of your record
  • external documentation fees: $5-20, if simple, more if more complicated
  • report writing fees: varies depending on complexity, based on hourly rates
  • fees for testifying and appearances: more costly, see the policy for details
  • emergency contacts fees: crisis calls are at a higher rate

Actual Out of Pocket Cost

Your out of pocket costs may be lower than our regular fees. This could be the case if you are using insurance (either in or out of network), if someone else is helping to pay your bill, or if you are participating in one of our special programs. If you are interested in how any of these might apply, please speak with one of our clinicians at (212)655-9605.
