Angela Vassel, MA
Angela Vassel is a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate from Alliance Graduate School of Counseling, Nyack College, New York. She holds a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and is presently a Marriage and Family Therapy Resident with Seeking Shalom. Angela is a trained Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and has Level 1 and 2 training in the Gottman Couples Therapy
Angela has experience working with individuals, couples and families and has worked with children, teens, young adults and mature individuals. Angela engages a range of challenges, such as depression, anxiety, behavioral issues in children and teens and marital challenges. Angela is interested in preparing couples for marriage and has a particular interest in helping stepfamilies negotiate the pitfalls of their engagement and to enjoy their journey together. Angela also has experience in helping children and adults to manage their anger. This service is provided individually as well as in a group context. Angela is passionate about helping people to experience shalom in all areas of their being. She applies different approaches based on the particular individual, couple, family or group that she is working with.
Angela is a member of the New York Chapter of AAMFT.
Angela is strongly connected to the Bronx community because of her leadership role in a prominent church in the Williamsbridge area of the Bronx.
