Nina Tirado, BA
(Intern in Mental Health Counseling)

Description

I welcome adult clients who seek guidance, peace, and wholeness in their lives. Through building a solid foundation of trust and acceptance with clients, I walk beside and support them through their individual journeys. A Narrative Description About Yourself (in Client Focused Way - at most three paragraphs): I am currently a graduate student, studying Counseling, at Northwestern University. As a Mental Health Counseling Intern, I focus primarily on life transitions, work/life balance, and coping techniques for stress and anxiety. I approach every session through the lens of individualized therapeutic intervention. Through utilizing a multi-theoretical approach, all sessions are tailored to meet the personalized needs of each client. My experiences include working with children and families facing the struggles of living at or below the poverty line as well as cultivating individualized behavioral health plans for elementary school students in the South Bronx. As a native Bronxite, I am strongly connected to my community and have dedicated my life’s work to building a healthier home for us. You can reach me at (646)661-3365.
